In the core of the Jewish quarter of Castelló d’Empúries is the old 17th century old mansion of the Earl of Dosaigües, which has been restored and turned into a four star hotel, called La Casa de la Moneda.  This tastefully decorated building is considered a historic monument and it still preserves some parts of its architectural origin. It is a must for culture and history. La Casa de la Moneda will be ready to open its doors in May 2002.
